Add an application with the form at the top and it appears in the list below, newest first. Every field stays editable — change a status from Applied to Interviewing as things move, update the notes after a call, or delete an entry you have given up on. Changes are written to your browser's local storage the moment you make them, so there is no save button and nothing to lose if you close the tab.

The counters along the top give you the picture at a glance: how many applications you have logged, how many were actually sent, how many are at interview stage, how many offers, and the response rate across everything you have sent. The status filters let you answer specific questions — show me everything at interview stage, or everything I have applied to but not heard back on.

The Excel export writes a real .xlsx workbook, not a raw CSV dump: a formatted Applications sheet with a frozen header, colour-coded statuses and proper date cells, plus a Summary sheet carrying the same headline numbers you see above the list. It opens as-is in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets. Use it as a backup, or as the handover when you want to move your search into a spreadsheet you share with a coach or mentor.

Two weeks into a search, nobody remembers which version of their CV went to which company, who promised to call back, or which recruiter has gone quiet. That is how good opportunities die — not from rejection, but from a follow-up that never happened.

A tracker fixes three specific problems:

• Follow-ups. A polite chase seven to ten days after applying is one of the highest-return actions in a job search, and it requires knowing the date.
• Interview prep. When a call comes in three weeks later, your notes tell you what the role was and which achievements you highlighted.
• Diagnosis. A visible response rate tells you whether the problem is your resume, your targeting or simply volume — and that decides what you fix next.
